Pottery classes by the trimester
A weekly meeting with clay — to learn, create, and slow down.

Wheel-throwing in a small group
Treat yourself to time to slow down, learn and create with your hands in a bright, intimate studio nestled in the heart of Ménilmontant.
Every Thursday evening, I welcome just four participants.
This highly intimate format allows me to support each student individually, whatever their level. You may be discovering the pottery wheel for the first time, returning to a practice you left behind years ago, or refining your technique with more ambitious goals in mind.
Everyone progresses at their own pace, according to their interests, challenges and personal projects. I designed this class as a genuine long-term learning experience: structured yet caring, demanding yet gentle.
Here, you're never just another student. You're guided, supported and encouraged to develop your own way of working with clay.
Comprehensive teaching centred on wheel throwing
This course focuses entirely on wheel throwing and every stage involved in creating finished ceramic pieces.
Throughout the year, you'll learn to:
-
centre clay on the wheel
-
throw cylinders, bowls, mugs and plates
-
create larger and more complex forms
-
trim your pieces
-
make handles, spouts and assembled forms
-
explore coloured slips, decorative techniques and glazing
-
understand firing processes and the behaviour of clay
Beginners gradually build confidence in the essential techniques, while more experienced students develop their own artistic language, explore new forms and work on personal projects.
The aim is not simply to make beautiful ceramics, but to truly understand the material so that you gradually become independent—and above all, enjoy the process.
Because I also believe in creative freedom, you'll have access to a dedicated hand-building area where you can freely explore the three fundamental techniques: coiling, slab building and pinch pottery. A wonderful way to broaden your skills or reconnect with a more intuitive approach to clay.
